The Challenge

Rome and Floyd County face significant housing challenges. With nearly 13% of families living in poverty and statewide data showing 45% of Georgia households struggling to afford basic necessities (ALICE households), our community has at least 137 individuals experiencing homelessness—a number widely acknowledged to be underreported.

Our Solution

Pathway to Home is a newly formed nonprofit organization (501(c)(3) that will build and operate Rome's first permanent supportive housing community. Our flagship project—a 30-40 unit tiny home village on the Westminster Presbyterian Church campus—will provide more than shelter. It will create genuine pathways from homelessness to housing stability.
